A lack of engagement with the public has led to the rising number of complaints by local residents about the new waste and recycling that the Conservative administration have introduced, say the Leaders of the Liberal Democrat Group and Independent Groups.

The Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group on Torbay Council Steve Darling has lodged a Freedom of Information request with Devon County Council to find out if plans to make the Kingskerswell Bypass a toll road were discussed at a meeting of the South Devon Link Road Steering Group on the 22nd June.

The result will be seen as a devastating verdict on the Conservative administration which runs Torbay Council under the stewardship of Mayor Nick Bye.
